If you have not done it already, it is time to review your online business legal forms. It is now December 1st and the new FTC regulations and policies are now in full swing. The FTC will first be looking at websites that already have complaints against them and then secondly website that have caught their attention.

If you have not addressed your websites, then now is the best time to do it. Waiting will only subject yourself or your company to fines or website shutdowns. While you may be able to fight the original actions of the FTC in court, it will take months before you are back in business. Those are months that you are losing money and valuable time.

The software that I recommend on my website protects against a lot of common and not so common legal issues that you may run into. It actively addresses the FTC new regulations and will update itself if those regulations change. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with this software.

You can go about it yourself and possibly get away with copying the legal wording from another site, but you run the risk of that attorney or owner of that legal software taking legal action against you. It is better to take the ethical route and buy the software and make use of it. It will pay for itself in saving you time and money.

You can do in ten minutes what would take you probably an hour trying to make the document on your own. Remember time is money. Better to put that extra time you saved into your business. This will provide more value to your website readers and more money in your pocket.

So what can you expect going forward? You can expect the FTC to play a key role in cleaning up an industry that has pretty much gone unchecked for over a decade. You can expect fast and effective actions against those websites that have a large number of complaints. You can expect warning letters, large fines and even jail time.

It takes some effort but all this can be avoided if you take action now and get your website FTC compliant. You don’t have a choice, it is either that or what I explained above. Take the time to conduct your business right and you will reap the rewards of less competition from those that only use the internet to market their business in an unethical way.
